Less than a month to go...

We're engaged!

Yup, you read that right. After only six and a half years we decided to bite the bullet and get married. We are very excited about it.

How it happened…
While walking across campus on the way to see the new Memorial Hall, we stopped at the Old Well, where Niles asked the question. He even had a ring, although said it was temporary. Later in the week, we went to a ring designer in Asheville who is designing an engagement ring and wedding bands for both of us

Registry

We are registered in a couple places. And of course, cash for the honeymoon or a new car is of course always appreciated!

Seven Sister's Gallery
Our favorite art gallery has commissioned our dishware from a local artist in lieu of china. Additionally, we have picked out other items to complement the set. If you can't make it to the store, simply call them and ask for our registry - Andrea or her staff will be happy to assist you over the phone and ship it to you or drop it off at the wedding with a note from you. 828.669.5107. Bed Bath and Beyond: For all the other stuff

If you are flying...

There are a variety of airport options. Flying into Asheville airport is certainly the quickest way to get to Black Mountain, but flights are often the highest of all the listed choices. If you are renting a car, you may want to consider one of the other options. If you are not planning on renting a car and want to consider other options, just check with us, we may be able to find you a ride. Various family and friends will be traveling from the Raleigh, Charlotte, and Greensboro areas to get to Black Mountain.

Please let me know your flight info once it's booked! If you need a ride, we'll try to accommodate, just let us know as soon as possible.

Asheville: Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) - 35 minutes drive from Black Mountain
Airlines: Delta, Continental, US Air, Northwest, United

Greenville, SC: Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) - 1 hour, 45 min drive from Black Mountain
Airlines: American, Continental, Delta, Northwest, United, US Airways,
Surprisingly, there are often affordable flights to this small airport, which is easier to get to than Charlotte.

Charlotte: Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) - 2 hrs 15 min drive from Black Mountain
Airlines: Air Canada, AirTran Airways, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Northwest Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways
Charlotte is a hub, so there may be more flights. Check US Air.

These may be cheaper but they are quite a drive
Greensboro: Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO) - 3 hours to Black Mountain
Raleigh: Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) - 4 hrs 35 min to Black Mountain
